Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Gear Up For Colombiatex 2025
A total of 23 Italian textile machinery manufacturers will participate in Colombiatex, the premier Colombian textile fair, taking place from January 28 to 30, 2025. This highlights the robust relationship between Colombian textile companies and Italy’s advanced textile technology sector.
Despite a decline in demand for textile machinery in Colombia during the first nine months of 2024, the country remains a key market for Italian manufacturers. In 2023, Italy ranked as the second-largest supplier of textile technology to Colombia, with exports valued at approximately €13 million. From January to September 2024, Italian sales in the region reached €8 million, underscoring the steady demand.
“The Colombian textile and clothing industry has seen significant growth in recent years, driven by technological advancements where Italian machinery has often been pivotal,” said Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT. “For Italian manufacturers, Colombiatex is an essential event to reinforce partnerships with Colombian textile companies.”
The Italian pavilion, organized by the Italian Trade Agency and ACIMIT (Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers), will showcase 23 exhibitors, including prominent ACIMIT members such as Biancalani, BTSR, Color Service, Danti, Dettin, Fadis, Flainox, Isotex, Itema, Kairos Engineering, Lonati, MCS, MTS, Monti-Mac, Ratti, Reggiani Macchine, Salvadè, Santoni, Stalam, Tecnorama, Tonello and Triveneta.
