Reliance Retail’s Fashion Biz Sees Strong Q1 Growth

Emerging formats like Azorte, Yousta, and GAP lead 59% Y-o-Y growth; AJIO expands product portfolio and launches 4-hour delivery service

Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), the retail arm of Reliance Industries Limited, reported strong momentum in its Fashion & Lifestyle segment for Q1 FY26, contributing significantly to the company’s consolidated revenue of Rs 84,171 crore, up 11.3% Y-o-Y. The quarter saw robust performance across formats, driven by new store launches, strong private label traction, and tech-enabled consumer experiences.

The fashion and lifestyle vertical witnessed solid revenue and EBITDA growth, supported by the launch of innovative store formats and deeper brand engagement. Flagship brand Reliance Trends focused on curating trend-forward collections and enhancing in-store experiences, while emerging formats like Azorte, GAP, and Yousta grew by 59% Y-o-Y, now spanning over 170 stores across India.

The business continued diversifying beyond apparel, expanding its footprint in footwear, beauty, personal care, and accessories broadening consumer choice. Azorte’s celebrity-led campaigns and Yousta’s “Never the Same” brand positioning strengthened customer engagement and brand visibility.

Digital Fashion Growth via AJIO
Reliance’s online fashion platform AJIO showed sustained digital leadership:

  • 18% of revenue from new customers (up 150 bps Y-o-Y)
  • 17% rise in average bill value
  • Product catalogue expanded to 2.6 million+ options, a 44% Y-o-Y increase

Launched AJIO Rush, a 4-hour fashion delivery service across six cities, enhancing customer convenience and improving unit economics

The premium offering AJIO Luxe expanded its brand portfolio to 875 brands, with a 17% Y-o-Y increase in catalogue size. Meanwhile, Shein continued to perform strongly, crossing 2 million app downloads and listing over 20,000 products.

The quarter also saw sustained traction in jewellery, with the Akshaya Tritiya ‘Tirupati’ Collection celebrating tradition with modernity. The Mothercare Everyday range further bolstered the group’s kidswear proposition.
