Kitex Garments Q1 Profit at Rs 26.05 Cr; Launches ‘Little Star’ Brand In India

Kitex Garments Ltd has declared its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025, reporting total income of Rs 201.31 crore, EBITDA of Rs 41.63 crore, and a net profit of Rs 26.05 crore. Revenue grew 3.3% over the corresponding quarter last year, despite an industry-wide slowdown caused by uncertainties and tariff revisions in the US market. The company noted that constant changes in tariff rates made customers hesitant to place orders.
As part of its strategy to mitigate export risks, Kitex has launched its US babywear brand “Little Star” in the Indian market. The brand will debut on e-commerce platforms before expanding to offline retail, with an ambitious revenue target of Rs 1,000 crore over the next 2–3 years.
In addition, associate company Kitex USA LLC repatriated approx. Rs 80 crore against pending receivables of Rs 97 crore under FEMA guidelines, with the balance Rs 17 crore expected to be realized by September 2025. The associate company also reported a turnaround, posting a profit of USD 8 lakh in FY 2024–25.
Separately, in response to a query from the exchanges regarding increased trading volumes, Kitex clarified that recent US tariff hikes have negatively impacted Indian export-oriented companies, including itself, leading to fluctuations in share prices. However, optimism around the US-Russia summit held on August 15, 2025, had provided positive sentiment for exporters. The company emphasized that it had no undisclosed information influencing share volume and would continue to make timely disclosures under SEBI regulations.
