From April to September 2025, textile exports declined slightly by 1.85%, reaching US$ 9.97 billion, compared to US$ 10.16 billion in the same period last year. In contrast, apparel exports grew by 3.42%, reaching US$ 7.76 billion against US$ 7.51 billion in April–September 2024. Combined, textile and apparel exports saw a marginal increase of 0.39%, totaling US$ 17.74 billion.

However, September 2025 saw a sharper decline in exports. Textile shipments fell by 10.45% to US$ 1.62 billion, while apparel exports dropped 10.14% to US$ 997.54 million, compared to September 2024. Overall, cumulative textile and apparel exports for the month fell 10.34% to US$ 2.62 billion.

CITI’s analysis highlights that while apparel exports maintained steady growth over the half-year, textiles faced a slowdown, with September witnessing significant month-on-month decline.
