VERDEinMED Launches Knowledge Platform To Support Circular Transition In Textile Industry

The European VERDEinMED project has launched a new Knowledge Platform designed to accelerate the shift toward a circular textile industry. Funded by the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, the platform was developed by the Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) with contributions from project partners across the Mediterranean.
Serving as a digital hub, the platform provides tools, data, reports, infographics and expert-reviewed guidance for stakeholders throughout the textile value chain. It covers all stages of the textile lifecycle from production and market use to end-of-life and waste management—and is aimed at supporting businesses, policymakers, researchers and consumers in implementing sustainable practices.
Available in eight languages, the platform includes sections on regulatory frameworks, sector data and best practices, while also enabling collaboration through national hubs where stakeholders can share knowledge and contribute resources.
The launch marks a major milestone for VERDEinMED, which focuses on promoting innovation, cooperation and environmental impact reduction in the textile sector across Europe and the Mediterranean.
