Trützschler Apprentices Honoured For Advancing Digital Education In Local Schools

Apprentices from Trützschler have been recognised for their contribution to strengthening digital education in primary schools in Mönchengladbach, as part of the “Azubis an Schulen” initiative.
The project, led by Rockid.one in collaboration with the Trützschler Foundation and the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), aims to introduce digital skills to children at an early age by bringing hands-on learning directly into classrooms. Recently, participating Trützschler apprentices were awarded certificates in recognition of their outstanding engagement and commitment.
Through interactive workshops at local primary schools, the apprentices introduced pupils to key digital topics including robotics, artificial intelligence and the safe use of social media. The sessions are designed to make digital learning engaging and accessible, while also easing the workload of teachers and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Caroline Lange, Chairwoman of the Trützschler Foundation, highlighted the broader impact of the initiative. “Azubis an Schulen creates a strong link between education, families and businesses in the context of digital transformation. It is a win-win-win situation that we are proud to support and a pioneering approach to shaping the digital future of the next generation,” she said.
Launched in 2020, the programme has already reached more than 22,000 children across six federal states, supported by over 950 apprentices.
