Shekhar Singh Appointed Managing Director At Zschimmer & Schwarz

Shekhar Singh has taken on a new role as Managing Director at Zschimmer & Schwarz, marking a significant leadership appointment for the globally renowned specialty chemicals group.

Headquartered in Lahnstein near Koblenz, Germany, Zschimmer & Schwarz is a 100 per cent family-owned company with a legacy spanning more than 130 years, having been founded in Chemnitz in 1894. The group is a global supplier of chemical auxiliaries and specialty chemicals, operating through seven business divisions and serving a wide range of industries including leather, ceramics, textiles, chemical fibres, personal care, cleaning agents, lubricants and industrial applications. Today, the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group comprises 27 companies across 16 countries on five continents, underlining its strong international footprint.

Shekhar Singh brings with him over three decades of deep industry experience, particularly in textile chemicals and specialty solutions. Prior to joining Zschimmer & Schwarz, he was associated with Rudolf Atul Chemicals Ltd., for nearly 11 years, where he served as Business Head and played a key role in driving growth and strengthening market presence.

Before that, he worked with India Glycols Limited, Delhi, as Business Head – Textile overseeing textile chemical operations during a crucial phase for the sector. A significant portion of his career was spent at Clariant Chemicals India Ltd, where he worked for nearly 15 years.

With his extensive experience across multinational chemical companies and strong understanding of the textile and specialty chemicals landscape, Shekhar Singh’s appointment is expected to further strengthen Zschimmer & Schwarz’s strategic direction and growth initiatives, particularly in key global markets.
