Skechers China Accelerates Digital Transformation With Centric PLM

Centric Software announced that Skechers China is advancing its digital transformation by leveraging Centric PLM to power product development and operational excellence across more than 3,000 athletic and lifestyle styles annually.

Skechers China, the regional arm of the global footwear brand, has been a major force in Asia since entering the Chinese market in 2007. Operating across mainland China, Southeast Asia and South Korea, the company manages a diverse portfolio spanning performance athletic, lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories.

As rapid growth and category expansion increased operational complexity, Skechers China required a centralized platform to streamline workflows, enhance collaboration and support locally tailored product development. The partnership with Centric Software began in 2017, with Centric PLM initially supporting apparel development before expanding to footwear and accessories, enabling unified product management across categories.

“Centric PLM serves as the core platform for our digital transformation and product data management,” said Li, Head of Product Development and Procurement IT, Skechers China. “It provides critical insights for supply chain coordination, sales forecasting and inventory optimization, strengthening both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.”

The long-term collaboration has delivered cross-category efficiencies, deeper supplier collaboration and enhanced cost visibility, positioning Skechers China as a best-practice model for digital product development in the region.
