Digital Passports Come To Luxury Childrenswear With ReLuxe Story

Designer Kids Club (DKC) has launched ReLuxe Story, an industry-first platform that applies Digital Product Passports (DPPs) to luxury childrenswear, giving each garment a verified digital profile covering provenance, authenticity, care, and environmental impact. Powered by Provenant’s DPP technology, the platform enables consumers to view sustainability metrics and track a garment’s journey from first purchase to resale.

With luxury childrenswear often outgrown long before its useful life ends, ReLuxe Story supports circular fashion behaviours including resale, rental and rewear, while helping maintain product value. Each item on the platform is assigned a scannable QR code that unlocks its digital passport, allowing parents to buy second-hand with confidence and visibility into the item’s history and positive environmental impact. Future updates will allow owners to add personal “chapters” and memories to each garment.

For luxury brands, ReLuxe Story™ forms part of Designer Kids Club’s Circular Fashion Ecosystem, providing ready-made resale infrastructure, take-back options and authenticated rental channels, without requiring brands to build their own systems. It also supports alignment with emerging regulations such as the EU’s upcoming Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which mandates Digital Product Passports for textiles.

Ve’Ronika Pandya, Founder & CEO of Designer Kids Club, said the aim is to bring “a complete loop to luxury childrenswear, empowering families and brands to join the circular fashion revolution.” Lars Rensing, CEO of Provenant, noted that the initiative shows “how DPPs can drive innovation, transparency and sustainability impact beyond compliance.”
