Raymond Taps Varghese & Ghosh To Lead Next Fashion Phase

As Raymond marks its centenary year, Chairman & Managing Director Gautam Singhania has initiated a strategic leadership reset aimed at strengthening the group’s fashion and textile businesses at a time when scale, speed and operating discipline are critical.
Raymond Lifestyle Ltd today ranks among India’s largest fashion platforms, anchored in textiles, menswear and retail, with 1,600+ stores across 600+ cities, a robust multi-brand outlet network and more than three decades of experience in international menswear retail.

To steer the next phase of transformation, the company has inducted Thomas Varghese as Advisor to the CMD and Satyaki Ghosh, who takes charge of Raymond Lifestyle effective Monday. Both leaders bring extensive operating experience spanning textiles, fibre-to-fashion integration, branded apparel, retail expansion and profitable category growth.
The leadership transition follows the exit of former CEO Sunil Kataria in April 2025. In the interim, senior executives Neeraj Nagpal (Apparel, MTM & The Raymond Shop) and Vipul Mathur (Ethnix) ensured operational continuity and retail discipline across formats.
As Raymond’s fashion and textile businesses enter their second century, the mandate centres on sharper category focus, improved margins, faster retail execution and sustained brand relevance in an increasingly competitive lifestyle market.
The new leadership structure signals Raymond’s intent to recalibrate its consumer engine and accelerate growth as the Indian lifestyle sector undergoes rapid consolidation and modernization.
