Beaulieu Expands Fibres Business With Asota Deal

Beaulieu International Group has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire all shares of IFG Asota GMBH, strengthening its Fibres Division and advancing its strategy to become a leading partner for sustainable nonwoven solutions.

Austria-based IFG Asota brings expertise in polypropylene, polyamide, polyethylene and biopolymer fibres, including PLA, serving markets such as flooring, automotive, filtration and technical applications. The company’s research center and pilot line capabilities are expected to accelerate product development and support innovation in bio-based and recycled polymers.

The acquisition aligns with Beaulieu’s plan to expand its global footprint and reinforce its position in staple fibres by combining its industrial base with Asota’s materials know-how and R&D strengths. In parallel, IFG Exelto will enter a toll manufacturing agreement with Beaulieu Fibres International to secure production capacity and maintain customer service continuity.

Subject to completion, both companies plan to continue investing in innovation and sustainability to meet the evolving demands of the nonwoven and technical textile sectors.
