NITRA Signs MoU With Oswal Woollen Mills To Advance CLOCell Innovation
The Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oswal Woollen Mills Ltd., Ludhiana, marking a significant step towards advancing sustainable and self-reliant textile innovation in India.
The MoU was formalised in the presence of M S Parmar, Director General, NITRA and Ajay Ghorpade, Head – Quality Control & Management at Oswal Woollen Mills Ltd.
During the interaction, Dr. Parmar highlighted NITRA’s pioneering work on milkweed fibre, trademarked as CLOCell™, positioning it as a next-generation, sustainable fibre aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The collaboration aims to accelerate research, development and commercial application of this innovative fibre within the textile value chain.
