Vision Group, Shahi Exports Sign US$ 30 Million Apparel Partnership
Bangladesh-based Vision Group and India’s Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd. have signed a US$ 30 million annual partnership agreement aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in the textile and apparel sector.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at Vision Group’s office in Savar by AHA Gaffar, Director of Vision Group, and Poorana Seenivasan, CEO and Director of Shahi Exports.
Industry executives said the collaboration is expected to support business expansion, supply chain integration and market development across global apparel markets.
The partnership will primarily focus on exports to the United States, along with key markets including Australia and Canada. The product portfolio will include a range of apparel categories, particularly tops and bottoms targeted at international buyers.
Officials from both companies described the agreement as an important step towards enhancing cross-border collaboration within South Asia’s apparel industry.
Vision Group Chairman ASM Mahfuz, Managing Director AKM Hamid and other senior executives from both organisations attended the signing ceremony.
Commenting on the agreement, AHA Gaffar said, “Today’s MoU with Shahi Exports marks more than just a business agreement, it is the beginning of a long-term regional partnership built on trust, quality, and shared growth.”
“We believe this collaboration will open new opportunities in the global apparel market and further strengthen Bangladesh’s position as a reliable sourcing destination,” he added.
Poorana Seenivasan said the agreement was aimed at supporting long-term business expansion through strategic partnership initiatives.
Industry stakeholders view the collaboration as a positive development for the South Asian apparel sector, reflecting the growing importance of regional partnerships in strengthening competitiveness, innovation and supply chain capabilities in global fashion markets.
Established in 1995, Vision Group is a major Bangladeshi manufacturer and exporter of woven and knit apparel products with an annual turnover of around US$ 100 million.
