Maral Overseas Returns To Profit In Q1 FY27; PAT At Rs 5.98 Crore

Maral Overseas Ltd reported a turnaround in the first quarter of FY27, posting a net profit of Rs 5.98 crore compared to a net loss of Rs 12.57 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations rose 16.7 percent year-on-year to Rs 263.21 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, while total income increased 16.9 percent to Rs 268.95 crore.

The company reported a profit before tax of Rs 5.32 crore against a loss before tax of Rs 12.75 crore in Q1 FY26, supported by improved operating performance across its yarn and fabric businesses. Total comprehensive income stood at Rs 8.15 crore, aided by gains from cash-flow hedges.

The yarn division remained the key growth driver, with revenue increasing 18.7 percent to Rs 192.53 crore. Fabric revenue grew 10.4 percent to Rs 76.03 crore, while garment revenue declined 3.7 percent to Rs 38.65 crore.

Segment profitability improved significantly during the quarter. Yarn segment profit rose to Rs 12.77 crore from Rs 2.15 crore a year earlier, while fabric segment profit increased to Rs 5.18 crore from Rs 1.55 crore. Losses in the garment segment narrowed compared with the previous year.

Despite higher raw material costs, Maral Overseas benefited from lower finance and depreciation expenses. Earnings per share improved to Rs 1.44 from a loss of Rs 3.03 in Q1 FY26, reflecting the company’s return to profitability.
