KPR Mill Reports 22% Rise In Q1 FY27 Profit, Textile Business Drives Growth

KPR Mill Limited reported a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit rising by nearly 22% year-on-year, driven by healthy growth in its core textile business.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the company posted revenue from operations of Rs 1,935.5 crore, compared to Rs 1,766.3 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, reflecting a growth of about 9.6%. Profit before tax increased to Rs 338.6 crore from Rs 279.1 crore, while net profit rose to Rs 258.5 crore from Rs 212.7 crore, registering a growth of around 21.6%. Earnings per share improved to Rs 7.56 from Rs 6.22 a year ago.

The company’s textile business remained the key growth driver during the quarter, contributing Rs 1,500.3 crore in revenue and Rs 277.7 crore in segment profit. The segment accounted for nearly three-fourths of KPR Mill’s total revenue, underlining the strength of its integrated operations spanning yarn, fabric and garments.

The sugar business also delivered a steady performance, generating revenue of Rs 419.8 crore and segment profit of Rs 40 crore, while the other business segment contributed revenue of about Rs 22 crore.

The strong profitability growth reflects improved operational efficiency and healthy demand across the company’s textile value chain. KPR Mill continues to benefit from its diversified product portfolio and vertically integrated manufacturing model, which has enabled it to maintain growth momentum despite a challenging global business environment.

With the textile segment contributing the majority of revenue and profits, KPR Mill remains well positioned to capitalize on opportunities in both domestic and export markets. The company, however, did not announce any major expansion plans or new project investments as part of its Q1 FY27 board meeting outcome. (livemint.com)
