VDMA To Host India-Europe Textile Technology Forum In Mumbai On December 2
VDMA India and the VDMA Textile Machinery Association will organise the India-Europe Textile Machinery & Technology Forum in Mumbai on December 2, 2026, bringing together Indian textile manufacturers and European technology providers to discuss productivity, sustainability and higher-value manufacturing.
The one-day conference and B2B event will connect industry decision makers with experts from VDMA member companies and their Indian partners. Sessions will focus on automation and digitalisation, AI-supported quality control, technical textiles, nonwovens, energy-efficient production and advanced finishing technologies.
Participating companies include Barmag, BW Converting, Georg Sahm, Groz-Beckert, Lenze, Mahlo, Thies, Trützschler Nonwovens and Weko. Experts will present technologies aimed at improving production efficiency, product quality and international competitiveness, while discussions will explore their application in Indian textile mills.
The programme will also cover the German Government’s export credit guarantees and their role in supporting Indo-German trade.
The forum is aimed at textile and nonwoven manufacturers and exporters across spinning, winding, knitting, weaving, dyeing and finishing, serving apparel, home textiles and technical textiles markets. Participants will include mill owners, CEOs, managing directors, technical directors and plant managers, alongside executives responsible for production, engineering, maintenance, digital transformation, sustainability, quality and energy management.
The event is supported by the Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA), the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and the Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL).
The forum will begin at 9 a.m. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory and subject to VDMA’s review to ensure alignment with the event’s target audience. The registration deadline is November 6, 2026.
