Indian Spinners Association Elects New Leadership At AGM
The Indian Spinners Association (ISA) announced the outcome of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on September 22, 2023, unveiling new leadership to steer the association forward.
Prashant Mohota, the Managing Director of Gimatex Industries Ltd, assumed the role of President. Gimatex Industries Ltd boasts an integrated textile plant located in Hinganghat near Nagpur and Ahmedabad, housing an impressive 225,000 spindles.
Prakash Maheshwari, Chief Executive of Corporate Affairs at RSWM Ltd, was elected as Vice President. RSWM Ltd stands as a prominent player in the industry, operating 578,126 spindles for the production of synthetic blended yarn, cotton/melange yarns, 32 million metres of denim fabrics and 6,000 MT of synthetic and cotton knitted fabrics annually.
M L Jhunjhunwala, former President of RSWM Ltd., was appointed as the Executive Director, further strengthening the association’s leadership team.
The Indian Spinners Association plays a pivotal role in uniting spinning mills engaged in the production of man-made/synthetic fibres under a common umbrella. This new leadership is expected to lead the association to new heights, fostering collaboration and growth within the industry.
