Bhilwara Energy To Invest Rs 750 Cr In India’s Largest rPET Resin Plant

Bhilwara Energy Limited has announced the launch of LNJ GREENPET, a state-of-the-art B2B food-grade recycled PET (rPET) resin manufacturing plant in Tonk, Rajasthan. Spread across 95 acres, the facility will create 700+ jobs and become India’s largest single-premises bottle-to-bottle (B2B) recycled PET resin plant.

Slated to begin operations by September 2026, LNJ GREENPET will have the capacity to recycle 20 million PET bottles daily, producing 100 kilotons of food-grade rPET resin annually.

This marks Bhilwara Energy’s second major initiative in PET recycling, following the Recycled Polyester Fibre (RCPF) facility, established in 2014. The RCPF unit currently recycles 6 million PET bottles daily, producing over 43,000 MT of FibreGreen annually.

Building on this success, LNJ GREENPET will leverage low-cost bottle procurement and advanced technical expertise from its existing bottle-to-fiber unit, which processes 140 MT of PET bottles daily.

Riju Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director, Bhilwara Energy Limited, stated, “Our goal is to establish a world-class rPET resin facility that meets the evolving industry needs while aligning with India’s net-zero vision. The success of our RCPF unit in 2014 set a benchmark, and with LNJ GREENPET, we take another step toward sustainability by promoting plastic recycling as a viable solution for waste management.”

The facility will incorporate cutting-edge recycling technology to ensure superior quality, efficiency, and compliance with global standards. The company is in the process of obtaining EFSA, US FDA, and FSSAI certifications, ensuring strict safety and quality standards. The premium-grade rPET resin produced will cater to packaging and FMCG industries.
