CEMATEX Appoints Alex Zucchi As New President

CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has announced the appointment of Alex Zucchi as its new President. Zucchi’s election took place during the General Assembly held on 14 June 2024.

Zucchi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having been actively involved in CEMATEX as part of the ACIMIT delegation since 2015. He previously served as the President of ACIMIT and has remained dedicated to advancing sustainability initiatives, including the promotion of the ACIMIT green label and advocating for the recycling of textile machinery. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director and Partner at Ferraro, a leading manufacturer specializing in finishing machinery.

Following Zucchi’s election, the General Assembly expressed its appreciation to the outgoing President, Ernesto Maurer, for his dedicated leadership over the past four years. Maurer will continue to contribute to CEMATEX as its Vice President.

Upon assuming his new role, Zucchi commented, “It is a great honour to be appointed, and I extend my sincere thanks to the Assembly for their trust in me. I also want to acknowledge former President Ernesto Maurer for his achievements in strengthening CEMATEX’s international presence during his tenure.”
