China Proposes Law To Ban Apparel Which May Hurts Feelings

China has proposed a law that would ban apparels which could hurt feelings of the Chinese people.

The proposed law includes a range of behaviours including images on garments or a speech that is offensive for Chinese people.

The standing committee of the country’s legislature has released a draft of the legislation, and will be made a priority for passing it in the current year.

As per the draft, punishments for violating the proposed laws range from a fine which is around US $950 or 15 days punishment in a detention centre.

The draft however does not clarify as to what images on garments or speeches would be considered inappropriate by the Chinese government.
