Chinese Spunlace Nonwoven Exports Drop 6% In October

Chinese exports of spunlace nonwovens amounted to 29.70 kilo tons in October 2023, up 6 percent year over year, but down 9 percent month on month.

The average export price stood at US $2,308 tons in October, a decline of 7 percent from a year ago period and also a drop of 2 percent when compared against September 2023.

“Between January and October, the export volume of spunlace nonwovens reached 301 kilo tons, an almost flat growth when compared with the same period of 2022,” Chinese customs data informed.

Spunlace nonwoven export volumes in October 2023 to the biggest export markets of the US, Brazil, Japan, Vietnam and South Korea grew slower at 2.1 percent over October 2022.

These five countries accounted for 58 percent of total Chinese spunlace nonwoven exports in October 2023.
