Egypt Limits Cotton Exports To 40,000 Tons In 2023-24 Season
Egypt will limit its cotton exports to 40,000 tons in the 2023-24 season, according to the Alexandria Cotton Exporters Association (ALCOTEXA).
This is being done in order to ensure sufficient domestic cotton supply to the textile industry in Egypt,
“Except for small amounts of cotton meant for immediate shipments, Egypt’s has suspended cotton export registration,” the cotton association said.
The export registrations will begin after the relevant department issues the implementation regulations and the association will update cotton exporters in a timely manner.
