First Steps Babywear Wins Fourth Consecutive Award For Excellence In Worker Welfare
First Steps Babywear has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence by receiving the Excellence in Worker Welfare Award from Apparel Sourcing Week (ASW). The company was honoured in the Social Impact category at the prestigious Sustainable NXT Awards 2023, a platform aligned with the evolving dynamics of the apparel industry. This category specifically recognizes initiatives that champion fair labour practices, enhance worker welfare and bring about positive changes in communities.
The award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of every member of the First Steps Babywear family, whose collective efforts have made this recognition possible for the fourth consecutive time. The company has garnered acclaim not only for its remarkable achievement in the Social Impact category, but also for its consistent contributions across various forums.
Among the accolades received, First Steps Babywear was awarded the Best Innovative Practices Award on Women at Workplace by the United Nations Global Compact during the 3rd Gender Equality Summit held in 2020 in New Delhi. The company’s efforts were further acknowledged with the India POSH Award 2021, which commends safe and inclusive workplaces in India. This particular award was presented at the India POSH Awards 2021 ceremony held in Bangalore, in the presence of the then Chief Minister of Karnataka.
In 2022, First Steps Babywear was recognized yet again, this time with the Women Empowerment Award. This award highlighted the company’s proactive, innovative and effective implementation of the POSH Act, 2013. The award was presented at the 6th State Level Human Resources Working Professionals Conference held in Bangalore.
