German University Conference on Digitalisation In Textile Sector

The first ever International Textile Supply Chain Digitalisation Conference (ITSCDC) will be organised from September 6-8, 2023 at Mönchengladbach campus of the Hochschule Niederrhein University in Germany.

According to the university, the digitisation of industrial processes is becoming more and more standard and so the conference will shed light on digitalisation in the textile sector from academic, educational and industrial perspectives.

“While the focus was initially on administrative or planning processes, digitisation is now relevant for all entrepreneurial activities, including in the textile industry,” Hochschule Niederrhein added.

“This applies to tasks such as design, engineering, production or marketing and textiles offer an ideal surface for collecting data on the body or in the environment and integrating it into digital products,” the university informed.

The conference has been divided into plenary sessions, research and industry presentations. Experts will provide important information with their high-calibre presentations.

The research presentations will provide an opportunity to exchange and discuss ideas.

One of the sessions includes ‘ITSCDC meets MG Open Spaces’ in which, experts from the industry will present their views.

A workshop will also be organised in which participants will be able to familiarise themselves with the latest digitalisation approaches.
