Junma Group Expands HMLS Capacity, Strengthening Tire Cord Leadership
The Chinese Junma Group has increased its HMLS (High Modulus Low Shrinkage) production capacity by 20 positions, solidifying its position as one of China’s largest tire cord manufacturers. With a total of 64 HMLS systems, all supplied by Oerlikon Barmag, Junma continues to drive innovation and growth in the tire cord sector.
Enhanced In-House Production
Junma processes tire yarn in titers ranging from 1100 dtex to 2200 dtex, converting it into tire cord through dipping and weaving. Its largest HMLS project with Oerlikon Barmag was completed in record time, with yarn specifications approved within two weeks.
“The reliable performance of our industrial yarn systems ensures stable spinning and high-quality output, backed by years of experience,” said process engineer Li Jiangang.
Long-Term Partnership with Oerlikon Barmag
Having entered the HMLS polyester tire cord market in 2008, Junma has relied on Oerlikon Barmag systems for every expansion phase. “Our continued trust in Oerlikon Barmag reflects their commitment to quality and innovation,” noted Wang Hongbin, General Manager at Junma.
Global Growth and Future Plans
Junma supplies premium tire cords to leading international tire manufacturers and foresees significant growth in the automotive sector. “This year, we opened our first international branches and plan to establish a production facility in Thailand next year,” said Wang Hongbin.
With Oerlikon Barmag’s HMLS technology offering production speeds of up to 6300 m/min and reliable components, Junma is well-positioned to meet the demands of the global tire market.
