Lululemon Opens First Store In Italy, Expanding EMEA Footprint

Lululemon officially opened its first store in Italy on Saturday, July 19, marking a major milestone in the brand’s international expansion. Located in the heart of Milan’s iconic Vittorio Emanuele II shopping district at 24/28 Vittorio Emanuele II, the new store introduced Lululemon’s innovative athletic apparel and accessories to the Italian market.
The store spanned approximately 5,700 square feet across two floors, featuring distinct areas for men’s and women’s collections designed for a range of activities including yoga, running, training, tennis and golf. The space reflected Lululemon’s core blend of high-performance innovation and elevated style.
Paying tribute to Italy’s design legacy, the store featured a locally inspired architectural concept that merged traditional craftsmanship with modern materials. A highlight of the store was the Lululemon Glide sculptural façade—a custom 3D-printed installation inspired by the brand’s Define Jacket. The flowing, fabric-like geometry moved across the storefront, creating a striking visual statement.
In line with Lululemon’s omni-channel strategy, the Milan store offered a fully integrated guest experience through its Endless Aisle BBR solution, allowing customers to access the brand’s full range beyond the in-store inventory. Global Blue Tax-Free Shopping was also available, enhancing the experience for international visitors.
The Milan opening represented a significant step in Lululemon’s growth across the EMEA region. With existing stores in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland, Italy became a vital addition to the brand’s international portfolio. The launch aligned with Lululemon’s Power of Three ×2 growth plan, which aimed to quadruple international revenue from 2021 levels by year-end 2026.
