Oerlikon Group Sales Drop 4.4% In Q2

In the second quarter ending June 30, 2023, Oerlikon Group sales dropped slightly by 4.4 percent year on year, to CHF 702 million, mainly driven by postponements in Polymer Processing Solutions’ filament orders.

However, the Switzerland based group’s sales rose 3.6 percent from a year ago quarter, including 5.9 percent from Riri at constant exchange rates.

The operational EBITDA for the second quarter of 2023 declined 13.8 percent from a year ago period to CHF 111 million, while EBITDA margin stood at 15.8 percent.

According to Oerlikon, the fall in EBITDA happened mainly due to the Polymer Processing Solutions division.

Operational EBIT for the reporting quarter was CHF 55 million, or 7.8 percent of sales, while EBIT was CHF 54 million, or 7.7 percent of sales.
