Poland Top Destination For German Technical Textile Exports
Poland was the largest destination for technical textile exports from Germany where they stood at $1.02 billion in 2023.
“Among other top destinations, technical textile exports to Austria stood at $880.1 million, France $772.19 million and Italy $718.46 million,” data from Statista informed
German technical textile exports stood at $679.1 million to Netherlands, $660.4 million to Switzerland, $654.9 million to Czech Republic, $625 million to the US and $444.24 million to the UK.
Germany’s textile and apparel industry has an annual turnover of around €28 billion and employs around 124,000 people and its biggest growth driver is the technical textiles industry.
In 2023, Germany exported around €39.3 billion worth of textiles and clothing, which is a slight decrease from the previous year. The export rate for the German textile industry was about 49.4 percent in 2023.
