Recycled Cellulose Fibre Maker Renewcell Reduces Production

Renewcell, which recycles cellulosic textile waste in to fibres, is cutting down production in December as sales were nil in November

The Swedish recycler said that it produced only 1,339 metric tons of Circulose brand during November as against manufacturing capacity of 1,420 tons, but there were no deliveries.

In order to not negatively affect cash flows, the company decided to reduce its production capacity in December, as it is also pessimistic about sales in December.

In its October guidance, Renewcell had forecast slower than expected sales of its recycled cellulose fibre

Renewcell has developed a patented process that enables the recycling of cellulosic textile waste, such as worn-out cotton clothes and production scraps, transforming it into pulp named Circulose.
