Seven Apparel Projects Receive Approval From Odisha Government
Seven apparel manufacturing units received project approval letters from the Odisha government, which will be set up in the garment cluster of Khurda.
“They were attracted by Odisha’s conducive business environment, stable government, swift approvals, and seamless land allotment process,” an Odisha government press release said.
“With the best incentive structure for garments, textile & technical textile units, Odisha has emerged as a thriving hub for textile investment,” the press release stated.
Approval letters were presented to Meenu Creation, Pooja International, Sonu Exim, Rainbow Fabart, BL International, Fine Lines and Golden Seams Industries.
The total project cost of these seven projects amounts to Rs. 378.98 crore, with the potential to generate employment for 18,620 people.
According to the state government, these investments signify a significant step towards realising the full potential of the apparel and textiles sector in Odisha.
A pivotal aspect of the event was the discussion on infrastructure development and expedited facilitation, emphasising the necessity for streamlined processes and robust infrastructure.
Pratap Keshari Deb, Minister of Industries, MSME, and Energy, Odisha, reaffirmed the government’s dedication towards promoting industrialisation and facilitating business expansion.
