Shivkrupa Cotspin Unveils Mega Spinning Unit In Maharashtra
In a momentous event that marked a leap towards innovation and excellence in the textile industry, Shivkrupa Cotspin Pvt. Ltd. proudly inaugurated its sprawling mega project, Spinning Unit II, at Virwade Road, Chopda on 2 February 2024. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of dignitaries, industry leaders and key stakeholders.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was officiated by Girish Mahajan, Minister for Rural Development, Panchayat Raj and Tourism, Maharashtra. The event was graced by the presence of Gulabrao Patil, guardian minister-Jalgaon district, Water Supply & Sanitation Minister, Maharashtra, Anil Patil, Relief & Rehabilitation, Disaster Management Minister of Maharashtra, and other eminent personalities.
The strategically located unit, boasting an impressive expansion of 21,888 spindles, positions itself at the heart of Khandesh’s Jalgaon district. Chopda, renowned for its prominence in Maharashtra’s cotton industry, is now home to Shivkrupa Cotspin’s innovative facility, equipped with 100% combed compact ring-spinning technology.
The inauguration witnessed a congregation of key figures in the industry, including M. Sankar, President Lakshmi Machine Works (TMD), Coimbatore, Kishor Appa Patil MLA, Pachora-LA, Lata Sonawane MLA, Chopda-LA, Mangesh Chavan MLA, Chalisgaon-LA, Prof. Chandrakant Sonawane, Former MLA, Chopda, Nageshwar Sharma, Asst. General Manager, SBI Nashik, Pradip Roy, Head-TMD, UMPESL, Coimbatore, and Shrikant Gajabi, Sales Director, Vandewiele Savio India, among others.
The strategic location of Unit II positions it as a well-connected hub, linking various major cotton hubs and the JNPT Port. With seven ginning and pressing factories within its half-a-kilometer radius, the unit is set to play a pivotal role in Maharashtra’s cotton landscape.
