And to do so, the Turkish company participated in ITMA ASIA + CITME in Shanghai and ITME Africa in Kenya.
“China is the world’s largest market with a spindle capacity of over 80 million,” Asteks Overseas Sales Responsible Taner Engin said.
“Taking part in ITMA ASIA was important in terms of showcasing both our high-quality products and our service power reaching these local markets,” Engin emphasised.
Engin stated that costs have increased significantly in the Chinese market as in the rest of the world, and that local textile mills showed interest in high-quality, long-lasting and superior aprons and cots.
“The textile industry is experiencing supply chain challenges and the preference for higher quality solutions is becoming widespread as a way to cope with rising costs,” he added.
Asteks could not only meet Chinese textile manufacturers but also from other countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and also from Mexico and Brazil at ITMA ASIA.
The company exhibited their latest model 401-SF&M fully automatic grinding machine and also the Gesa multiple holes compact spinning machine aprons.
According to Asteks, Africa is also turning into a new investment base in textiles. China, India and other manufacturing countries have started operations on this continent.
This region offers attractive options for them to reduce increasing costs and to reach developed markets faster and so ITME Africa was a success for Asteks.
Engin anticipates a significant demand for apron and cot as a result of investments in spinning on the continent.
Asteks will continue its market diversification to increase its strength in the global market by exhibiting in exhibitions in a wide geography in 2024.
