Swedish University To Train Uzbek Textile Professionals
Uzbekistan and Sweden’s Boros University, renowned for its Swedish School of Textiles have reached an agreement to train textile industry professionals of Uzbekistan.
This agreement was reached following a virtual meeting between Ambassador Nodir Ganiev of Uzbekistan and Vice-Rector, Kim Bolton of Boros University.
“Also present at the meeting were representatives from Uzbekistan’s Uztekstilprom Association and the Institute of Textile and Light Industry,” Dunyo reported.
The meeting explored collaborations and opportunities for joint projects and programs spanning textiles, fashion, information technology, sustainable development and other relevant sectors.
Following the discussions, an agreement was reached to deepen collaboration with Boros University.
The university is located in Boros, a textile hub of Sweden and the university has various programs in fashion.
Boros University hosts around 200 international students yearly through exchange programs spanning one or two semesters.
This initiative provides opportunities for students from across the world to engage with the university’s academic offerings.
