100 Italian Companies To Exhibit At ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025

Around 100 Italian companies will participate in ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025, taking place from October 28 to 31. Spanning a total area of nearly 4,000 square meters, Italy once again ranks among the top exhibiting countries, continuing its strong presence from previous editions.

A total of 53 Italian exhibitors will showcase their latest innovations within the National Sector Groups organized by ACIMIT (Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).

ITMA ASIA + CITME remains the premier showcase for textile machinery manufacturers in Asia, a region that accounts for 50% of global textile machinery exports, valued at €8.8 billion in 2024. China and India continue to be the world’s largest importers, with combined imports totaling €4.3 billion.

For Italian manufacturers, Asia remains the leading export destination. In 2024, Italian textile machinery exports to Asia reached €664 million. During the first half of 2025, exports rose by 1% compared to the same period in 2024, amounting to €317 million. The key Asian markets for Italian machinery include China, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT remarked, “ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore is another opportunity for Italian textile machinery manufacturers to present their latest technological offerings. The Singapore venue enables exhibitors to connect with Southeast Asian markets, which are emerging as significant manufacturing hubs. Despite global uncertainties, the strong Italian participation in Singapore reflects the vitality of Italy’s textile machinery sector.”

He added that Italian exhibitors will present advanced solutions spanning the entire textile value chain ranging from digitalization tools enhancing process efficiency and automation systems for smarter production to technologies reducing environmental impact. Sustainable solutions optimizing energy and water use will also be a key focus, underscoring the sector’s commitment to merging traditional textile expertise with cutting-edge innovation.

Giorgio Calveri, Director of ITA Singapore highlighted, “With 86% of its €2.1 billion production exported, Italy’s textile machinery industry confirms its strong international orientation, with Asia as its principal market. ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 in Singapore represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen Italy’s presence in this vital region. With 100 exhibitors coordinated by ACIMIT and supported by ITA, Italy reaffirms its role as a trusted partner for advanced, sustainable, and competitive technologies.”
