59 Italian Textile Machinery Firms Exhibiting At ITMA Asia

A total of 59 Italian machinery manufacturers will be exhibiting at ITMA Asia and will occupy a surface area of around 2,000 square metres at the exhibition.

“Of these 59 manufacturers, 26 will be presenting technological innovations as part of the National Sector Groups, organised by ACIMIT and the Italian Trade Agency,” ACIMIT said in a press release.

According to ACIMIT, Asia is a major destination for Italy’s textile machinery manufacturers accounting for 38 percent of all Italian textile machinery exports during the first half of 2023 totaling to Euro 338 million.

Of the overall export sales in Asia, those to China reached a value of Euro 81 million in the first six months of this year. China is the biggest Asian market followed by Turkey.

“The outlook for the Chinese market remains positive, although demand for foreign machinery from local Italian manufacturers has slowed in first half of the year,” ACIMIT President Marco Salvadè said.

“Investments in the textile industry have never stopped, so there is no shortage of opportunities in China. I believe ITMA ASIA will confirm our expectations for a recovery in demand,” he added.
