Iranian Imports Of Textiles & Apparels Up 12% In Earlier Fiscal
Iran imported textiles and apparels amounting to US $2.2 billion between March 21, 2023 and March 19, 2024, a growth of 12 percent as against its previous fiscal.
The main countries which exported to Iran include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), China and Turkey in the fiscal.
On the other hand, Iran exported around $500 million worth of textiles and clothing in the reporting period and which were mainly shipped to Iraq, Afghanistan and Russia.
“Iraq accounted for 26 percent share of Iran’s textile and garment exports, followed by Afghanistan and Russia with 18 and 6 percent, respectively,” Tasnim News reported.
