Chinese Export Of Spunlace Nonwovens Rises 10.1% In March
Chinese exports of spunlace nonwovens rose to 34.61 kilo tons in March 2024, an increase of 10.1 percent over March 2023 and an impressive growth of 45.2 percent over its previous month.
“The average price declined 6 percent over a year ago month in March 2024, but grew 6 percent over February 2024 to US $2,364 per ton,” data compiled from Chinese Customs said.
In the month under review, export volumes to the top export destinations like South Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and the US accounted for 55 percent of total spunlace nonwoven export volumes.
Exports to these five countries totaled 19.03 kilo tons, resulting in a double digit increase of 12.3 percent over the same month of 2023.
Exports from Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Zhejiang provinces accounted for 85 percent of total export volume and reached 29.58 kilo tons.
