US Apparel Imports Drop 7.14% In First Three Months Of 2024
“In the first three months of ongoing year, overall US apparel imports dropped 7.14 per cent, falling to US $18.07 billion from $19.46 billion in the same period of 2023,” data from OTEXA informed.
In contrast, US imports of garments from Bangladesh declined higher at 17 percent to $1.75 billion in the first quarter of 2024 as against $2.13 billion in the corresponding period of 2023.
Value wise clothing imports from China saw a marginal dip of 0.71 percent, from Vietnam increased by 0.91 percent, from Cambodia rose by 11.13 percent, while they declined 8.79 percent from India.
