Puma Appoints Johan Kuhlo As Managing Director For GCC
Puma has appointed Johan Kuhlo, 43, as the Managing Director for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, effective September 1. In his new role, Kuhlo will oversee key markets, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. He will report directly to Puma’s CEO Arne Freundt.
Kuhlo, who has been with Puma since 2015, brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He has held several significant roles within the company, including Head of Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations. Most recently, he served as Managing Director for EEMEA distribution, where he was responsible for over 40 markets across Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Taner Seyis, 47, who previously managed Puma’s operations in the Middle East, including the GCC countries, will now lead the newly established Turkey and Levant region.
“Given our strong growth trajectory and ambitious goals in the Middle East, we have decided to realign territories and management responsibilities to ensure we have the necessary focus and resources to realize the potential in each market,” said Puma CEO Arne Freundt.
“Johan has demonstrated exceptional leadership, rapidly expanding our business in EEMEA distribution while strengthening our brand, operations and strategy. Taner has built significant credibility in the Middle East, forging successful new partnerships and laying a strong foundation. I am confident that we have the right leaders in place to elevate our brand in these critical regions,” he added
Peter Dangl, 37, will succeed Johan Kuhlo as Director of EEMEA distribution.
