Starlinger Acquires Woven Packaging Division From Windmöller & Hölscher

Starlinger & Co. Gesellschaft m.b.H. has announced the acquisition of the woven packaging division from German machinery producer Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H), including its subsidiary, W&H Machinery GmbH, based in Vienna. The acquisition strengthens Starlinger’s position as a global leader in machinery for woven plastic packaging and brings opportunities for technological synergies, enhanced service and expanded sales reach.

“With this acquisition, we extend our portfolio and offer tailored solutions to producers of sustainable woven plastic packaging,” said Angelika Huemer, CEO and Managing Partner of Starlinger. “The synergy effects will benefit customers through our global sales and service network.”

Dr Falco Paepenmüller, CEO of W&H Group, stated, “This move allows us to focus on growth in the paper and film packaging markets, while ensuring our woven packaging customers continue receiving exceptional service under Starlinger.”
