Archroma To Highlight Sustainable Denim Innovations At Key Events
Archroma, a leader in specialty chemicals for sustainable solutions, will unveil its latest innovations for the denim industry at Sustainability Talks in Istanbul and Denim Première Vision in Milan this December.
A key highlight is the Denim Halo process, combining DIRSOL RD pretreatment with DENISOL indigo dyes, including an aniline-free option, or DIRESUL sulfur dyestuffs. This process delivers laser-friendly, easily washable denim with enhanced durability and reduced environmental impact. It minimizes resource-intensive practices like manual scraping, lowers caustic soda use and boosts weaving efficiency, offering a more sustainable alternative to traditional methods.
Archroma will also partner with Kipaş Denim and Jeanologia to launch a joint hangtag for the Contra Denim collection, developed using the Denim Halo process. This innovative line allows brands to create durable distressed looks and intricate design effects while conserving water, energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The hangtag will communicate these benefits to consumers, promoting transparency and trust.
At Sustainability Talks on December 3, 2024, Archroma will exhibit at Booth 20 at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Conference Center and join the Sustainability Focused Innovative Technologies Panel, where Julio Perales will share insights on eco-responsible innovations.
At Denim Première Vision in Milan, Archroma’s experts, Umberto De Vita and Julio Perales, will present sustainable denim solutions aligned with its PLANET CONSCIOUS+ approach, aimed at cleaner chemistries and resource-efficient manufacturing.
