Youngone Begins Commercial Production At Warangal Textile Park

South Korean apparel manufacturer Youngone Corporation has commenced commercial production at its first unit in the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal, Telangana. The facility has begun exporting T-shirts to international markets, marking a milestone in the state’s Farm to Fashion initiative.
The unit forms part of Youngone’s planned manufacturing presence at the park, where groundbreaking for 11 factories took place in June 2023. The phased rollout is expected to strengthen Warangal’s position as an export-oriented textile and apparel manufacturing hub.
BRS working president and former Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao described the commencement of production as a “proud moment for Telangana.” He said women from the region account for 90% of the operational unit’s workforce, calling it “a true symbol of empowerment.”
Spread across 1,350 acres, the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park aims to connect Telangana’s cotton production base with downstream textile and garment manufacturing, supporting investment, exports and local employment.
In a post on X, Rama Rao credited former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s industrial policies, including the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TSiPASS), with attracting multinational manufacturers through streamlined approvals.
Youngone’s investment followed discussions held during a delegation visit to South Korea led by Rama Rao during his tenure as Industries Minister.
