Vietnam’s Textile And Garment Exports Climb To Nearly US$ 22 Billion In H1 2025

Vietnam’s textile and garment sector posted strong growth in the first half of 2025, with exports reaching nearly US$ 22 billion, marking a 10% increase compared to the same period last year, according to a report by state-run Nhan Dan.

Despite global economic uncertainties, Vietnamese manufacturers have accelerated production to meet tight delivery timelines and take advantage of existing tariff preferences particularly ahead of anticipated changes in U.S. trade policies.

Vietnamese textile and garment products are now shipped to 132 countries and territories, with many exporters having already secured orders through September. Negotiations are also underway for year-end contracts, pointing to sustained demand in key international markets.

Authorities estimate that, if the current momentum continues, textile and garment exports could reach US$ 46 to 47 billion by the end of 2025, reinforcing the industry’s critical role in Vietnam’s export economy.
