Spunweb India Boosts Capacity With New Nonwoven Production Lines

Spunweb India Private Limited (SIPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Spunweb Nonwoven Limited (SNL), has announced a major capacity expansion through the acquisition of two advanced spunbond nonwoven fabric production lines—a 3.2-meter single beam and a 1.6-meter single beam line.

The investment boosts SIPL’s installed capacity by 53%, rising from 12,240 MT to 18,740 MT annually. Together with SNL’s existing operations, the group’s overall capacity will increase nearly 20%, from 32,640 MT to 39,140 MT.

As part of the expansion, SIPL is adding 45,000 sq. ft. to its production infrastructure at its Wankaner facility in Gujarat. The project is expected to drive a 20% increase in employment, underscoring the group’s commitment to both industrial growth and socio-economic development.

The new lines, slated to be operational by Q3 of FY26, will enhance product quality, efficiency and cost optimization, while supporting diversification into high-demand sectors such as packaging, agriculture and industrial applications.

Commenting on the development, Jay Kagathara, Managing Director, SIPL said, “With this addition, we are not only expanding our operational capacity, but also reinforcing our commitment to delivering excellence to our customers. These machines will play a key role in meeting rising demand, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.”
