AB Cotspin Secures Rs 18 Crore Cotton Yarn Order

A B Cotspin India Ltd., a leading textile manufacturer with over 25 years of expertise, has announced an order worth around Rs 18 crore for 712 MT of cotton yarn, to be executed within two months. The deal further strengthens the company’s position as a trusted supplier of cotton yarn, knitted fabrics, and eco-friendly products.
The development comes amid positive policy signals for the sector. Chief Economic Adviser V. Anantha Nageswaran indicated that the U.S. may reduce its reciprocal tariff on Indian goods from 25% to 10–15%, and potentially scrap the penal duty within the next two months. Meanwhile, the Centre has temporarily suspended the 11% import duty on cotton until September 30, a move aimed at easing cost pressures on textile mills and exporters.
Industry stakeholders have also welcomed the India–UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed in 2025, which eliminates tariffs of 8–12% on Indian apparel and home textiles exported to the UK. Export clusters such as Tirupur, Surat, and Ludhiana are expected to benefit, with projections of up to 40% growth over three years.
Backed by strong demand and favorable trade developments, AB Cotspin expects to achieve a turnover of Rs 350–400 crore and EBITDA of Rs 40–45 crore in FY 2025-26.
