Tajima Embroidery Machine Seminar 2025 Showcases World-Class Embroidery Solutions

Universal MEP Projects and Engineering Services Ltd. (UMPESL), leaders in textile machinery and exclusive representatives of Tajima Embroidery Machines in India, hosted the Tajima Embroidery Machine Seminar 2025 at the Taj Ambassador Hotel, New Delhi. The event highlighted the latest innovations from Tajima, the Japanese pioneer in embroidery technology, and reinforced its commitment to empowering Indian manufacturers with world-class solutions.

The seminar aimed to bridge the gap between India’s rich embroidery traditions and modern automation, drawing a strong response from industry participants. Manufacturers, designers, production heads and embroidery professionals gathered to explore the evolving landscape of textile embellishment and witness cutting-edge embroidery innovations firsthand.

The session opened with a welcome address by Pradip Roy, Head – Textile Machinery Division, UMPESL, followed by a keynote from Pradeep Bakshi, former MD & CEO of Voltas Ltd. Karmaveer Singh Rathore, Head – Regional Operations and Tajima Product Head, traced the journey of UMPESL’s Textile Machinery Division, while Nobumasa Asai, Department Head, Tajima Japan and Hiroki Washimi, Sales Department, Tajima Japan, shared insights into Tajima’s legacy and its latest embroidery technologies. Nizar Ali, Head – Post Spinning Division, introduced the Tajima team and outlined future business strategies for India.

Showcasing Smart Embroidery Innovations
The spotlight of the seminar was Tajima’s TMBR and TMEZ-SC series, equipped with proprietary technologies such as:

  • i-TM (Intelligent Thread Management) for automatic thread tension adjustment
  • DCP (Digitally Controlled Presser Foot) for superior fabric adaptability
  • Multi-cording devices for creative expression
  • Smart bobbin changer and birds nest reducer
  • Advanced touchscreen interfaces for intuitive operation
  • ESQ-C sequins system compatible with 3mm–9mm sequins
  • Support for innovative TPU threads, melted by heat pressing

Live demonstrations allowed participants to experience these machines in action, showcasing how Tajima combines precision, productivity and creative flexibility.
