AB Cotspin Secures Rs 5.45 Crore Order For 200 MT Of Cotton Yarn

AB Cotspin India Ltd., a leading textile manufacturer with over 25 years of experience, has announced an order worth around Rs 5.45 crore for 200 MT of cotton yarn, to be executed within one month. The order reinforces AB Cotspin’s position as a trusted supplier of high-quality cotton yarn, knitted fabrics, and eco-friendly products.
The announcement comes amid strong government support for the textile sector. The Centre’s Rs 600 crore Kapas Kranti Mission promotes high-yield, long-staple cotton cultivation through research, technology, and extension services. Recent GST reductions have fueled strong consumption during Navratri and are expected to boost Diwali demand, benefiting local supply chains and the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh highlighted the government’s vision to make India’s textile sector carbon-neutral by 2030, aiming for a US$ 350 billion industry with US$ 100 billion in exports. The Kasturi Cotton initiative is expected to add premium value to Indian cotton while supporting the government’s 5F strategy (Farm–Fibre–Factory–Fashion–Foreign). Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has emphasized creating a business-friendly environment to attract national and global investors.
Industry bodies, including CITI have urged the government to provide temporary working capital support and enhanced export incentives for units catering to the US market to mitigate challenges from tariffs and order cancellations.
