Techtextil India 2025: Accelerating India’s Rise In Global Functional Textiles

As India intensifies its push toward becoming a global leader in advanced textile manufacturing, Techtextil India 2025 is set to return with its most expansive edition yet. Scheduled from 19–21 November 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, the 10th edition will bring together 215+ exhibitors, including 100+ debut participants, showcasing the latest in technical textiles, nonwovens and composites.

According to the Ministry of Textiles, India’s technical textiles exports reached US$ 2.92 billion in FY 2024–25, driven largely by Packtech (37.5%) and Indutech (28%). With exports to the UK touching US$ 136 million, India’s growing influence in global value chains highlights the importance of platforms like Techtextil India, which will feature 500+ products, 300+ brands, and strong international participation from Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Sweden and the USA.

This year, the expo introduces a multi-dimensional approach, integrating several high-impact features under one platform, the Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference Asia (18 November), a new Sporttech Pavilion, a German Pavilion and a comprehensive Techtextil India conference powered by ITTA. These additions will deepen engagement across sectors ranging from sports and automotive to defence, medical textiles, construction and sustainability.

India’s textile sector is undergoing rapid transformation, supported by major policy reforms such as the revised PLI Scheme for Textiles, which focuses on revitalising the MMF and technical textiles ecosystem. The updated scheme aims to boost investments, simplify processes and align with national priorities under Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd., noted, “Techtextil India 2025 will not only showcase radical materials and technologies but will also act as a knowledge hub connecting policy with practice. Our new initiatives align with India’s textile growth mission, enabling participants to explore next-generation solutions and collaborations.”

The Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference Asia, known for its research-driven fibre innovation, will make its India debut on 18 November 2025, setting the stage for the main event. The Techtextil Symposium, organised by ITTA, will focus on smart solutions and applications across geotextiles, agrotextiles and industrial textiles. On Day 3, a conference organized by SPE India will highlight circular supply chains, technology, capital and collaboration for the future of technical textiles and plastics.

The new Sporttech Pavilion, in partnership with Concept N Strategies, will highlight high-performance fabrics for activewear and outdoor applications. A dedicated conference, India’s Activewear Revolution: Scaling Without Compromise, will address the growing demand for premium functional sportswear.

Expanding further into Mobiltech, Buildtech and Oekotech, the expo aims to connect manufacturers, researchers, technology providers, investors and policymakers, strengthening the ecosystem for sustainable, high-value textile manufacturing.

Key domestic players such as Aditya Birla Yarns, Khosla Profil, Park Nonwoven, Pidilite, Reliance, Welspun, Sanathan Textiles, Sarex Chemicals and Suntech Geo will participate alongside global leaders including Autefa Solutions, Brückner, Georg Sahm, Reifenhäuser, STC Spinnzwirn, VEIT, Innovatec, Zoltek and others.
