IDH and Better Cotton co-hosted a roundtable on the “Future of Textiles: ESG and Sustainability” at Bharat Tex 2024 in New Delhi, India.
Chaired by Gauri Singh, Deputy Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the meeting emphasized the critical need to enhance efficiency across resource, process and energy dimensions to drive the green transition in the textile sector. Prajakta Verma IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry Of Textiles, co-chaired the roundtable, delving into diverse dimensions of environment and social governance within the industry.
