Devan Chemicals Publishes First Sustainability Report, Strengthens ESG Commitment

Devan Chemicals has released its first Sustainability Report for 2024, outlining its strategic focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities and reinforcing its commitment to responsible growth in the textile chemicals sector.

The report highlights how sustainability is embedded across the company’s operations, from product innovation to resource management and stakeholder engagement. “Success for us is not measured by size, but by the quality we deliver, the integrity we uphold, and the sustainability we advance,” the company stated, underlining its long-term vision.

Devan’s strategy is centred on developing high-performance, sustainable textile solutions, including bio-based and low-impact chemistries, while enabling recyclability and extending product lifecycles. The company has aligned its framework with global standards such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), marking an important step toward transparent reporting.

In 2024, Devan formalised its ESG approach across four key pillars: creating safer and high-performing products, protecting natural resources, supporting people’s well-being, and ensuring transparent communication. The company also advanced initiatives in renewable energy adoption, water conservation, waste management and circular economy practices.

Operationally, Devan reported progress in improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions and increasing the share of sustainable product formulations. Investments in digitalisation, life cycle assessments and safer production systems further strengthened its sustainability roadmap.
